At least one dead and 20 injured leave two massive accidents in Granma

The deceased is Miguel Zamora Escalante, 71 years old and resident of Bayamo. In both cases, two private mass passenger transportation vehicles are involved.

One dead and 20 injured is the preliminary balance of two massive traffic accidents that occurred in Granma this Thursday around 6:00 am.

According to the stationCMKX Radio Bayamo, one of them happened in Tuabeque, between the Entronque de Bueycito and El Triángulo, on the highway via Manzanillo, and the other in Caureje, on the highway via Las Tunas. Both towns are located in the Bayamo municipality.

The deceased was identified asMiguel Zamora Escalante, 71 years old and resident of Bayamo.

In addition to the victim, 20 injuries are reported between both accidents.

In the accident that occurred in Caureje there were 12 injured, in addition to the elderly man who lost his life.

All were transferred to the Carlos Manuel de Céspedes Hospital.
