They identify the three who died when a tourist car fell from a bridge in Sancti Spíritus

Cuban authorities identified this Thursday the three fatal victims of a spectacular traffic accident that occurred this Thursday morning when a tourist car fell off a bridge in the province of Sancti Spíritus.

The deceased wereAriesky Duanes Marty (40 years old) andYunitza Cueto Peláez (38), both residents of the Florida municipality, Camagüey, andPedro Ezequiel Vasallo Valdés (43), who was the driver of the vehicle and had an official address in San José de Las Lajas, Mayabeque, the newspaper reportedEscambray.

The Ministry of the Interior (Minint) in Sancti Spíritus indicated that the tragic event occurred this Thursday morning at Kilometer 323 of the National Highway, a section belonging to Cabaiguán.

A young man identified as Yoan Wilfredo Cabrera Sardiña is the only survivor of this event and is currently hospitalized without danger to life.

"He was immediately transferred to the Camilo Cienfuegos General Hospital in the provincial capital; he remains admitted as a stable multiple contusion patient, but his severity is not reported," the information states.

He details that the injured man "does not present any other type of complications, he has no rib fractures, only some incised wounds due to the trauma."

The Minint works on determining thecauses of the accident. However, he points out that it possibly occurred after the loss of control of the AEOLUS model car.

It was a tourism car with license plate number 037972 that had left Camagüey and was heading to the west of the island.

The vehicle hit the bridge that separates the two lanes of the highway before falling into the river.

Several experts participated in the assistance and rescue efforts of the bodies and the survivor.

The published images show that the car was removed from the river with the help of a crane.

Neighbors of the victims stated that the municipality of Florida is mourning this unfortunate event.

RecentlyThree other people died in a traffic accident that also involved an Aeolus car of income for tourism, which according to some complaints do not have good stability.
