Illegal crossings of Chinese migrants across the southern border of the United States increase

The flow ofchinese immigrants along the southern border of the United States has increased significantly in the last year. They arrive in search of new opportunities, fleeing a suffocating political climate and an adverse economic situation in the communist country.

The migrants follow dirt roads and wait for the Border Patrol to surrender. Most are taken to a detention center near San Diego, where they undergo background checks and are typically released within 72 hours to begin the asylum process.

Although they can cross legally using the "CBP One" application, many consider it a barrier that ends up complicating the immigration process for them.

This phenomenon occurs in a context of greater difficulties in obtaining tourist, work or study visas in the United States, as a result of the growing tensions between the governments of both countries.
