A Cuban who usually makes strong criticisms of the government on social networks reacted indignantly to the recent statements by the Minister of Energy and Mines, Vicente de la O Levy, about the energy crisis that the country is going through.

At a time when Cubans endure blackouts of up to 16 hours a day, De la O Levy promised that the situation will improve in the future and that the difficulties will be resolved.

"We have been hearing the same thing for years," said Manuel Viera, a lawyer by profession, in his profile. Facebook.

Viera recalled that this minister six months ago said exactly the same thing at the Round Table.

"Those who never lie are the kings of lollipop and candy for fools! The order to go out and appease the people by any means possible is given! Right now they can find gold again, find a bigger oil field than that of Guyana, even launching a space station into the cosmos... Anything is possible!" he noted.

The Díaz-Canel government continues to rely on propaganda instead of seeking solutions to the problems, in another attempt to buy time that only reveals the inability of its ministers.

With the national electrical system collapsed, De la O Levy launched an institutional message inflated with an optimistic air with the vain purpose of deceiving citizens, which, however, does not cause the desired effect.

"They are going to solve the problems of 65 years ago in the remainder of the millennium. Leave the show and hand over power, Cuba is too big for them, they are all inept," said an Internet user on the leader's Twitter account.

At the beginning of the year, De la O Levy announced a 25% increase in the electricity bill of those customers who consume more of 500 kilowatt/hour, and justified the decision as a measure "aimed at savings."

The increase in the price of electricity for the so-called "large consumers" came into effect this March 1 (to be paid in April) and, according to the head of the sector, it will affect 2.7 percent of Cuban consumers.
