Cuban with shipment of husk surprises at US airport

The products were subjected to drug detection tests.


US customs agents were surprised by a shipment of husk that a Cuban returning from visiting the island was carrying for a friend.

A video posted on Twitter shows the moment when Boston airport officials prepare to check a package that was carefully stored in the passenger's luggage.

When they open it they take out a piece of husk and what could be corojo butter and ask what it is.

"A friend's mother sent them for her son," explains the young man.

Intrigued, the officer calls her superior and subjects the product to a drug test. Finally, they allow the young man to enter the products used in Cuban Santeria.

Several Cubans reacted to the publication and stated that "in Miami they probably wouldn't have asked him, who doesn't know what he was bringing."

Finally, the young man left the airport with his belongings, after the tests carried out on the products he was carrying in your luggage tested negative for drugs.
