The first secretary of the Party in Santiago de Cuba, Beatriz Johnson Urrutia, announced to the population that in a week the problem of lack of water would be resolved and asked "not to despair."
The leader was captured at a work meeting when she asked to inform people about how in a week's time everyone will have "their little bit of water."
"And let people know that a little bit of water will arrive tomorrow, or the day after, or the next day, but let no one despair," he said.
The video was shared on the Twitter account of journalist Rolando Nápoles, who recalled that a few days ago the people of Santiago yelled at him: Freedom! in Johnson's face during mass protests, while she was on a rooftop trying to calm the crowd.
Last Sunday, March 17, thepeople of Santiago took to the streets to protest against prolonged power cuts and food shortages.
