A 15-year-old boy was shot in the arm early Wednesday morning during a fight at thelobby from the Hilton hotel in Downtown Miami.
The authorities reported that The incident occurred during an argument between two groups of people, some who were attending a party at the tourist facility and others who wanted to enter despite not having an invitation.
The event occurred around 2:30 a.m. in the lobby of the Hilton hotel located at 1601 Biscayne Boulevard.
Until now It is unknown if the young man who was shot was part of the group that was at the party or if he was with the individuals who were trying to enter without permission.
"We arrived at the scene and indeed, we found a 15-year-old boy who had been shot in the arm," Miami police spokesman Mike Vega said in statements to America Camel.
"The Fire Rescue Department transported him to Jackson Memorial Hospital, where, thank God, he will recover," he added.
The incident generated extensive police mobilization in the area, where the event has raised concern among residents of the area.
Five people were taken into custody for what happened, although Mike Vega clarified that so far there has been no official arrest.
The police are trying to gather information to clarify the facts.
The case remains under investigation.
