Two men seriously injured after strong dispute in a truck parking lot in Miami

One of the men received a gunshot wound to the face and the other was stabbed.


Two men were seriously injured after attacking each other this Thursday afternoon in a truck parking lot in Medley, northwest of Miami-Dade.

The violent incident left one truck driver shot in the face and the other, who is responsible for parking, with stab wounds.

Deglys Chavarría, spokesperson for the Police Department, indicated in statements toTelemundo 51 that the officers initially made contact with a man who was driving a truck and who had a gunshot wound.

While they were giving him first aid in the middle of the street, the man said that another person was also injured in the parking area.

When the agents arrived at the scene, located on 87th Avenue and 91st Street, they found another man - in this case stabbed - who was lying on the ground.

Both victims were rushed to medical centers.

The stab wounded man was taken to Kendall Regional by ambulance and the man who was shot in the face was sent to Jackson Memorial by air.

At the moment the authorities have not revealed the alleged causes of what happened, although it seems that it was over money.

According to witnesses,The parking lot attendant owed money to a truck driver who doesn't usually park there. The man would have gone to collect and they began an argument that escalated until both were seriously injured.

A truck driver of Cuban origin interviewed said that the place is usually quiet and another - also of Cuban origin - said he felt shocked by what happened.

For hours, detectives in the case remained at the scene looking for evidence, as well as videos from security cameras that provide clarity to what happened.

Northwest 87th Avenue, among the streets surrounding the site, remained closed since two in the afternoon, when the emergency was reported, which generated traffic congestion in the area and affected those who work in the area.

In recent weeks there have already been several violent incidents that in several cases have resulted in fatalities in Miami-Dade County.
