They denounce the death of a Cuban woman due to medical negligence in a Camagüey hospital

The Cuban activist Irma Lidia Cepero (known on social networks as Irma Broek) announced this Thursday the death of her sister, 57 years old and identified as Rosa María Toledo, due to alleged medical negligence at the Manuel Ascunce Domenech hospital in Camagüey.

In an overwhelming video published on April 11, Broek explained that his sister, who had a history of several pathologies, including chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and heart disease, had arrived at 8 a.m. on April 10 with severe pain in her body. Guard of the aforementioned hospital.

After being examined, the doctors concluded that she had cholecystitis (inflammation of the gallbladder) and that she had to undergo emergency surgery.

He fought for eight days to survive, but the damage caused by medical negligence at the Manuel Ascunce Domenech Provincial Hospital was irreparable,” denounced Broek, who has lived in Germany for 30 years.

“Right now I can't find the right words. I just want to let you know that my sister became another victim of the so-called 'Cuban medical power,'" added the activist, who is the administrator of the well-known Facebook group "Denouncing crimes in Cuba."

“God will have you in a very beautiful place, my little sister, together with mommy and our little brother. E.P.D. Rosa, you will be eternally in my heart and I will fight until my last breath so that other Cubans do not suffer as you had to do, nor lose their lives because of incompetent doctors without principles or values,” he added in his heartfelt farewell.
