Elderly man who lives on the Florida Keys highway sends a message to his family in Cuba

Not all Cubans who come to the United States achieve the American dream. Some people have not known how to adapt and suffer in loneliness, wishing to be reunited with their loved ones in Cuba.

The old manAgustin Cordova lives ina tent on a highway in the Florida Keys and sent a moving message to his family in Cuba.

"I love you all. I'm here alone with my nephew. I can't go to Cuba anymore. I'm living on the streets. I tell my sister and all my nephews that if you wait for me, I'll go there on a boat. I'm going on a boat to Cuba," Agustín said through tears.

The video was shared by the user ofTikTok Rainier Erquiaga. A follower of his asked him to locate Agustín and share his story on social networks.

The brief audiovisual does not specify what happened in the life of this elderly Cuban who ended up homeless, and surviving on a highway in the Florida Keys.

Agustín's message is an example that migrants do not always manage to achieve the American dream and also areminder of the value of family, its importance in staying firm on the path to conquering our dreams.

Rainier alerted those who wish to support Agustín that they can find him living on 20th Street, in Marathon, Florida, in front of the Faro Blanco Hotel.
