Faced with growing discontent over inflation and shortages of food and medicine, the Cuban government has issued new warnings through the television program"We make Cuba" ofCanal Caribe.
The spokespersonHumberto Lopez, along with ColonelHugo Morales Karell, second head of the General Directorate of the National Revolutionary Police (PNR),Beatriz de la Peña, Head of the Criminal Proceedings Investigation Department of the Attorney General's Office, and the judgeOtto Molina Rodríguez, former president of the Criminal Chamber of the Supreme People's Court, participated in the program.
The central theme of the program was respect for authority and the law. Guests discussed the legal implications of actions considered criminal under Cuban law, using visual examples of different situations.
According to data presented, in 2023, 111 sentences were handed down for attacks, 23 for contempt, 12 for disobedience and 26 for resistance, demonstrating the application of the law in various cases.
