A young woman narrated on social networks the tension she experienced when leaving Cuba with her family, to escape the regime and pursue the dream of a better life in Brazil.
In the profile of TikTok Ney Cruz, the Cuban shared images of the trip she took with her pregnant sister, her little girl, her mother and her father. They carried with them something very special, a wooden figurine, of the Virgin of Charity of Copper.
He explained the fear they felt in the José Martí airport, in Havana, because her sister is a doctor and the government could say at the last minute that it was regulated. However, he managed to board the flight without incident.
They made a scale in Trinidad and Tobago before reaching Guyana. Ney explains that from the first airport abroad, he began to notice the development that other countries have and the poverty that exists in Cuba.
The family landed in Guyana and immediately began the road route to Brazil. "We were tired and nervous, but together," said the young woman.
The first Brazilian city they visited was Good view, in Roraima, in the north of the country. There they requested documents to travel through the South American giant. Among those "important roles" he mentions the status of refugees, and the CPF (Cadastro de Pessoa Physique).
This Cuban family chose a beautiful city in southern Brazil to settle, known as Florianópolis.
One of the things that made their entire migratory route bearable is having been together, and maintaining faith that the future will be beautiful.
