Cuban arrested for stabbing a Venezuelan in Mexico

The victim was helped by passersby.

A Cuban identified as Lázaro Silva was arrested in Mexico City for allegedly stabbing and trying to kill another Venezuelan immigrant.

The incident occurred near a house where several people were taking refuge. undocumented of the Iztapalapa mayor's office, the most populated in the Mexican capital.

According to the red chronicle reporter Carlos Jimenez the aggressor, along with others migrants, would have been consuming alcoholic beverages before the altercation that ended with the Venezuelan Greison García seriously injured.

Apparently the stabbing occurred on a public street, since published images show the victim being helped by passers-by.

Agents from the Secretariat of Citizen Security (SSC) of CDMX, from the Santa Cruz sector, managed to locate and arrest the aggressor, who is in police custody.

In recent weeks, several events have emerged involving Cubans in transit in Mexico, while they wait for their CBP One appointments to interview and request political asylum at the US border.

Recently, Mexican authorities arrested three Cubans in Cancun who had kidnapped another individual of the same nationality in an abandoned house in that spa city.
