Shock in the ICU due to the sudden death of a student

A commotion at the University of Computer Sciences (UCI) has caused the sudden death of one of his students who was close to graduating.

Hector Manuel Mendoza Zamora, a native of Bayamo, Granma, was in his fifth year of Computer Science Engineering at Faculty 1 of the center.

"The news of his departure has surprised us all, leaving us with a deep feeling of sadness and dismay. His absence leaves an irreplaceable void in our community," the institution said in its profile. Facebook.

The UCI did not specify the cause of death, only sent his condolences to the young man's family, friends and classmates.

Students and teachers also left messages of pain in the comments section of the post.

"Very sad. May he rest in peace. Much strength to family and friends. A pleasure to have been your teacher," said Estela Martin Coronel.

"Rest in peace my child. It was a pleasure meeting you and being your main teacher. Fly high," said Yordanka Fuentes Castillo.

"There will never be anything or anyone in this world that hurts me more than your departure. More than my friend, my brother. I am going to miss you much more now. I love you very much, my love. You left me with a huge void and with a heart destroyed," said Lianet Cabeza Chávez.

In December, the University of Physical Culture and Sports Sciences regretted the death of a 19-year-old student who suffered from cancer.

María Karla Díaz Gutiérrez died of leukemia at the Dr. Salvador Allende Clinical Surgical Teaching Hospital (La Covadonga), in Havana.

In November, Darién Eduardo Herrera López, First-year student of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Pinar del Río was murdered in that municipality.

The center of higher education confirmed his death, although it omitted the term "murder." He said that "the unfortunate incident" occurred as a result of an altercation in the vicinity of central Martí Street.

Regarding those allegedly responsible for the crime, the institution clarified that they were unrelated people and that they had arrested "several of those involved in the incident."

In July, a university student died in a traffic accident that occurred in the province of Guantánamo, where four other people were injured.

The young woman, identified as Claudia Jiménez Mejías, was studying the third year of her Bachelor's degree in Biology at the Faculty of Natural and Exact Sciences (FCNE) at the Universidad de Oriente, in Santiago de Cuba.
