Cuban Amy Winehouse gets a new job in a private business in Havana

The Cuban woman began working at the Starcafé bar-café, located in Old Havana.

Lisandra Rodríguez, known as the “Cuban Amy Winehouse,” shared the good news that she has a new job, after having been expelled from her previous job.

In two stories, The young Cuban shared that she is now part of the team at the Starcafé bar-café, located in Old Havana.

Rodríguez worked as a waitress at the Escabeche bar in Old Havana, but after Lisandra's sudden fame and public gratitude to the independent media, which in a few hours massively echoed her story, it apparently did not sit well with some, which translated into a withering farewell.

“I'm very sorry for this, but I didn't make the decision. They fired me from work for being in the media. I want to clarify that I was supporting serving the tables, but I did not comply with the documents for that,” he explained in a text published on Facebook.

The young woman captured the attention of Cubans and foreigners for her remarkable resemblance to the iconic British singer Amy Winehouse., who died in 2011.

The Cuban filmmaker Daniel Ross Dieguez, struck by Lisandra's resemblance to Winehouse, decided to include her in his second feature film titled "Under the Bark."

Your new job is a private gastronomic business in Havana that imitates the well-known Starbucks, an American coffee chain that has more than 35,000 locations in 70 countries.
