The relatives had requested urgent help to locate them.

According to information extracted from various Facebook profiles, the two children belong to friendly families and often play together. No details were given about the circumstances of their disappearance, names, or other identifying features such as the clothes they were wearing that could help in the search.

On Sunday, they were playing at the corner of Tejadillo and Cuba at around 3:00 pm with another child, a internet user commented.

In recent months, reports of disappearances in Cuba have become more frequent on social media.

It has helped many families locate their loved ones in the face of a growing wave of violence and police inefficiency.
