An accident that occurred this Saturday in Sancti Spiritus left a provisional balance of three injured people as the vehicle overturned and ended up off the road.
The events took place in the El Salado area, a community located in a coastal plain of the province, known for shrimp farming for export.
The bus covered the route between the city of Sancti Spiritus and the fishing community of Tunas de Zaza, as indicated on his social media by Isbel Reina Abreu, the first secretary of the Municipal Committee of the Communist Party in the area.
The injured are being treated at the medical post in Tunas de Zaza for their subsequent transfer to the municipal headquarters, added Reina Abreu. At the time of writing this note, the causes that caused the accident are unknown.
At the beginning of April, a traffic accident involving three vehicles in Cabaiguán, Sancti Spíritus, left four injured. The incident occurred after 9 a.m. on the Central Road, in front of the entrance to the Guayos Railway Station.
As a result of the accident, four people were injured: one bicyclist and three occupants of a jeep, who were taken to Camilo Cienfuegos Provincial Hospital for medical treatment.
Days before, the impact of a truck against a pharmacy, allegedly after being unable to climb a slope in the town of Jíquima, in Sancti Spíritus, sparked speculation about the causes of the incident. Fortunately, no people were injured in the accident.
In February, Cuban authorities identified the three fatal victims of a dramatic traffic accident in which a tourist car fell off a bridge in the province of Sancti Spíritus, at kilometer 323 of the National Highway.
The deceased were Ariesky Duanes Marty (40 years old) and Yunitza Cueto Peláez (38), both residents in the municipality of Florida, Camagüey, and Pedro Ezequiel Vasallo Valdés (43), who was the driver of the vehicle and had official address in San José de Las Lajas, Mayabeque, as reported by the newspaper Escambray.
