A driver suffered minor head injuries after the almendrón he was driving crashed into a modern car in the neighborhood of El Vedado, Havana.
In a post in the Facebook group "Accidents Buses & Trucks for more experience and fewer victims!", it was reported that the incident occurred on G Street and 17th Street.
According to user Rosario Ginarte, "the gray car was going down G street and the green one down 17th street".
In the comments section, internet users added that despite the unknown causes, it was important to highlight that the traffic light had no electricity.
Gentlemen, that happened right in front of me. At that traffic light, there is no light, and it is true that the right of way belongs to street G, where the gray MINREX car was descending, and the green car was crossing; the same car passed me at a high speed," mentioned a user who declared himself a witness to the incident.
About the same traffic light, another person mentioned that recently they crossed it with their vehicle, and "I tell you that it has issues with the light change when you come from 17, the green light blinks only once and then immediately switches to red, at the same time the green light for G turns on, without showing the yellow light. I had to step on it and accelerate to pass the lane for those coming down G," they added.
The truth is that the shared images demonstrate a strong crash and considerable material damage, in a country where access to repairs or spare parts becomes a headache for drivers.
Recently, one person died and another was injured after a tanker truck lost control and plunged into a mountainous area in the municipality of Trinidad, in Sancti Spíritus.
People who know the occupants of the tanker truck confirmed that in the accident, the driver's assistant lost his life, while the driver himself suffered injuries.
In another tragic event, the motorcyclist driver suffered serious injuries after crashing into the guardrails of the Central Highway as it passed through the municipality of Jiguaní, in the province of Granma.
