Cuban in Spain: I was amazed when I entered the stores and supermarkets and saw a lot of things to choose from.

And what do you think?

A young Cuban woman living in the Canary Islands shared her experience on TikTok through a video, where she talked about the initial challenges and surprises in Spain as a Cuban immigrant.

"I am a Cuban in Spain, and of course, I had a hard time leaving Cuba and coming here," begins the video shared by Sairis Castillo on TikTok, where she has also recounted other experiences such as the first time she took a bus.

Adapting to life in Spain was not easy, especially during the first few months: "I struggled to get used to the two kisses and would leave people hanging."

One of the moments that impacted her the most was her first visit to the beach: "I was shocked when I went to the beach for the first time and saw people sunbathing topless or naked or lying on the sand soaking up the sun."

In addition, facing technological advances and developed systems also caused him some awkward moments: "I experienced countless embarrassing situations with all the developed systems and technological advances in this country."

Communication, despite sharing the same language, also presented its challenges: "Sometimes we didn't understand each other, even speaking the same language."

Another aspect that surprised her was the abundance of products available in the stores: "I was amazed when I entered the stores and supermarkets and saw a lot of things to choose from," she confessed in her testimony, where she also referred to the sea water temperature and some xenophobic comments she has received, although she stated loving Spain and its culture.

Your video, although from a personal perspective that not everyone may share, provides another insight into the challenges that Cuban emigrants face when adapting to a new life abroad.
