Cuban YouTuber shares the "normal things" she appreciates about her life in Spain.

The simple fact of being able to travel and board a plane whenever you want is a privilege for me.

The Cuban YouTuber Anita Mateu reflected through a video on TikTok about the things she values in her life in Spain after her recent visit to Cuba, where she returned last March after a year of living in Spain.

In her words, Anita acknowledged that her stay in Cuba made her appreciate many of the comforts and freedoms she has in Spain. "The simple fact of being able to travel and get on a plane whenever you want, look, that is a privilege for me," she commented, highlighting the difficulty of traveling from Cuba, where trips abroad are an inaccessible luxury for many or a one-way ticket.

In her video, the young woman highlighted the importance of electrical stability in Spain compared to the situation in Cuba. "In Cuba, there is only one electric company and when the power goes out, it's out for everyone, you can't complain. Here, if you are not happy with the company you are with because there are several, you just switch and that's it," she mentioned, pointing out the lack of options and the precariousness of the electrical service on the island.

Another convenience that Anita appreciates in Spain is the availability and variety of food, since on the island, even with money, sometimes there is no access to basic products like bread. "The fact that I can get up here and choose what I want for breakfast, that is already a privilege that they have to value," she emphasized, adding that ham and potato omelette are two of her favorite meals that she can enjoy regularly in Spain.

Anita's reflections have generated various reactions among her followers. "What you call privileges, I call rights, rights that we all should have, and not have to thank any ruler for them. In Cuba, its people should make a lot of noise!!" one person said to her. "No matter where you come from, when you come to Spain, it's another level... I have visited 14 countries and nothing is like Spain," another subscribed in the comments, where there were officialist defenses of the Cuban regime and criticisms of the reality of many people in their current country of residence.
