The Cuban ruler Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez got romantic this Tuesday when greeting the 510th anniversary of the Villa de Sancti Spíritus, and remembered that it is the "land of my love, Lis Cuesta."

In a message posted on the social network X, the leader congratulated the residents of Sancti Spíritus for the founding of the city.

Every time I go, I am surprised by the beauty and warmth of its people. Celebrate the joy of living in the fourth village of Cuba, between tradition and modernity," he emphasized.

It is unknown why Díaz-Canel claims that Sancti Spíritus is the land of Cuesta, who according to official media, Wikipedia, and Ecured, is a native of Holguín.

However, the romantic messages exchanged by the president and his wife on social media are not usually well received by Cubans, who frequently criticize such declarations.

In April, it was Cuesta's turn, the protagonist of several controversies due to his inappropriate comments and lack of empathy, who then became romantic when congratulating Diaz-Canel on his 64 years, whom he then called "my divine lover".

Before, the woman whom official propaganda in Cuba avoids calling "first lady" had stated that she was "the owner of the mango" when referring to her husband.
