A young Cuban who recently started the migration route from Uruguay to the United States shared this Wednesday on social media the details of his journey, with the intention of helping his fellow countrymen escape from the island.
The young man, who goes by the name of El Aldeanito Cubano on Facebook, shared a video where he explains the prices of plane tickets, the money that needs to be paid to the coyotes, among other details.
In this case, he explained that a round trip ticket from Uruguay to Nicaragua cost him 1,450 USD, as it is mandatory that it be a round trip.
However, he pointed out that the price of the ticket depends on the country from which one travels, the month in which it is purchased, and the number of days in advance the reservation is made.
"The coyote from Nicaragua to Tapachula cost me 650 USD," the young man mentioned, but warned that prices may vary.
"I recommend Juanita; she facilitates the fast journey, provides food, support, and internet, and is very reliable," he pointed out, referring to one of the main concerns of those who risk undertaking the dangerous migration route: the selection of a guide or coyote.
He also added that anyone interested in contacting her can send her a private message.
"From Tapachula to Mexico City (CDMX) they charge you 1,700 USD. In total, it would be 2,350 USD for the coyote from Nicaragua to Mexico City," he said, and added that between the ticket price and the payment to the guide, it would ultimately be 3,800 USD.
"More than 200 USD that I used for food during the journey, it would be 4,000 USD," he indicated.
The young man also explained that when in Mexico City, once you obtain the appointment in CBP One, you must go to the corresponding border crossing point.
"To get to the place where the appointment is requested, you only need a one-way flight," he pointed out, unlike the one you have to get to Nicaragua, where you do have to pay as if it were a round trip. "It costs between 200 and 300 USD," he pointed out.
He also pointed out that if you are approved in the interview, you must travel from there to the location in the USA where you are headed. "It should cost between 300 and 400 USD," he said.
Finally, the young man added to that account the price of the food and the rented car. "It comes out to 5,000 USD per person," he said, but warned that it is ideal to bring more money, so as not to be "tight."
The boy has documented his entire journey through videos posted on Facebook, in which he exposes the dangers of the crossing.
Last May, she shared a video clip showing the living conditions she has in Mexico City.
In the short video clip, you can see that the house consists of a multipurpose space that serves as a living room, bedroom, kitchen, and dining room. Right next to it, you can see the bathroom, spacious and private, but without being tiled.
"What did you think?" he asked at the end of the video where he did not give details about the rental price, although he did point out that he chose that place because "the rent is very cheap."
What do you think?
