A Cuban woman moves TikTok users with her story of overcoming obstacles after 14 years in the United States.

Since day zero, I already wanted to work.

A Cuban residing in the United States has moved TikTok users with an emotional video in which she shared her inspiring story of struggle and personal growth over the course of 14 years in the country.

In her account @cubanabella09, the woman recounts how her arrival in the North American country was marked by challenges and sacrifices, but also by the determination and effort that led her to fulfill many of her dreams.

In the video, the Cuban woman describes the difficult moments she faced from day one, from adapting to a new culture to job hunting; experiences that molded and strengthened her. "I remember when I arrived at Miami airport... I remember from day zero I already wanted to work...," she begins, reminiscing about her early days filled with uncertainty but also hope.

One of the most emotive moments of his story is when he recounts how he managed to buy the first McDonald's for his son: "I collected metals... stripped cables... I remember that the first McDonald's I bought for my son was purchased with the sale of a roll of copper cable that I had found," he said, showing how even small achievements have great significance in his personal 'journey.'

His story is a testimony of resilience and the spirit of overcoming that characterize many immigrants. Throughout the video, he sincerely reflects on how hard work and perseverance allowed him to overcome obstacles, from learning a new language to finding his first job in a Colombian restaurant. "I never stood still... It was difficult for me because of the language, because I didn't have experience," he added in his testimony.

The Cuban also reflected on the dreams she has fulfilled and those she still longs to see come true: "I have achieved almost all of my dreams... and my only dream in this life that I have yet to fulfill is for God to grant me health and allow me to see my children grow up healthy."

With a message of hope and encouragement for those who are starting their journey in a new country, he concluded his commented video. "I tell those who have recently arrived not to despair, that everything comes in due time, to be kind-hearted, not to do wrong, and they will see that everything will turn out well," he said, encouraging others not to give up and to keep faith that, with effort and good values, dreams can come true.

The comments on the video show the impact of her testimony, with users who feel identified and grateful for her message. “This video of yours has touched my soul, little Cuban. The truth is that we see with our eyes, but we do not know the heart”; "I also went through tough times with my child, I thought I wouldn't make it and today I never tire of thanking God for placing me in this wonderful country," some commented.

May God bless you. You made me remember my early days, when my husband and I were sad, I don't even want to remember those beginnings"; "Thank you for sharing your story, it is an example that everything can be achieved with effort and dedication"; "This story is full of love and kindness, it is an inspiration for all of us who have gone through the same"; "I arrived 22 years ago, it's not about how many times you fall, but about how many times you get up," others added.

And you? Are you willing to share your experiences and migration journey?
