A truck used for passenger transportation was involved in a serious accident on Monday in the municipality of Songo-La Maya, Santiago de Cuba, according to the images shared in the Facebook group "Accidents, Buses & Trucks for more experience and fewer victims."

The user Roy Baracoa posted several photos on the social network, where you can see the overturned vehicle and a liquid, presumably fuel, spilled on the road.

At the time of writing this note, the causes of the incident are unknown and Baracoa itself stated, without providing further details, that there were no serious injuries among the people on board.

In the month of May, the collision between a "almendrón" (old American car used as a taxi) and a tanker truck in Havana resulted in shocking images and several injured individuals who required specialized medical attention.

The events took place in the municipality of La Lisa, near the area known as Novia del Mediodía, in front of Hotel Mariposa, on the highway from Havana to San Antonio de los Baños.

Similarly, another "almendrón" circulating on Calzada de Diez de Octubre in Havana suffered a serious accident near the central and dangerous Esquina de Toyo, one of the most dangerous areas in the capital of the island.

The years of exploitation of the "almendrones," combined with the lack of maintenance, repairs, and spare parts that affect these classic vehicles, make them frequent protagonists of accidents that occur in Cuba.
