Young Cuban moves social media with his "immigrant version" of Bebeshito's song.

Currently, his performance has nearly 40 thousand likes on Instagram and TikTok combined.

The young Cuban Marcos Barrera Martorell, better known as Marky on social media, has moved platforms with a version of a "Bebeshito song."

The young man's interpretation takes as its starting point the lyrics of "Enganchada," a song by the reggaeton artist that was removed from platforms a few weeks ago for sampling a song (Mía by the Spaniard Chiara Oliver) for which he did not receive permission.

"Baby's Song Emigrant Version," wrote Marky about the viral video on TikTok, which, in just two days since being shared, has garnered over 14 thousand likes and more than 1,000 comments. On Instagram, where the young content creator has over 37 thousand followers, the reactions to the rendition dedicated to his mom have been no less praiseworthy.

In the emotional moment, the young man is seen singing a cappella, seated on a staircase, his adaptation of the reggaeton artist's lyrics to express the pain of the separation and farewell, as well as the sacrifice of emigrating to pursue his dreams.

Marky is currently in Mexico waiting for his CBO One appointment, which adds an even more emotional context to his performance. In the video, the young man sings about the heartbreak of leaving his mother behind to face an uncertain future abroad, a reality that has strongly resonated with those who live or have lived through similar experiences.

The comments reflect the deep emotional connection that his performance has generated and how much it has touched the hearts of his followers: "I cried remembering when I said goodbye to my mom and family"; "Wow, so much pain in that song, so real, and your voice is wonderful, you are art, you are marvelous"; "Beautiful, that's how we all feel when we have to leave for a better future for our loved ones"; "How painful those goodbyes are, I still can't get used to it, beautiful song, I loved it"; "You brought tears to my eyes"; "Lovely song, so many of us have gone through that goodbye"; "Here are all of us who left our little home with our hearts in our hands and our eyes full of tears to face an uncertain future to give our loved ones a dignified life"; "It hurts a lot"; "Beautiful lyrics, I remembered the exact moment of my departure, it's very intense what we immigrants go through when we have to part from our loved ones, blessings"; "Your version is so much better, you have touched our hearts because it's very hard to leave behind the person who gave us life. Congratulations," many said to him.

"I like this version better", "It turned out beautiful", "Wow, my respects for that version"; "It has better lyrics than the original. Very nice song"; "Beautiful, you sing beautifully, a thousand blessings and you will see that whatever you set your mind to, you will achieve it, just think about it and the strength will come on its own"; "You have to record this," others celebrated and encouraged in the comments.

This video has not only touched hearts, but has also highlighted the harsh reality of emigration, nostalgia, and the sacrifice that many Cubans face when leaving their loved ones behind in search of a better future.

And in case you're not aware of the controversy with Bebeshito's song that motivated Marky's cover, here is a fragment of the reggaeton artist himself explaining what happened at the time.
