Euro 2024: Sweet start for Portugal and Turkey, Arda Güler mesmerizes.

With Cristiano Ronaldo on the field, the Portuguese had another hero in Germany: Francisco Conceiçao, who scored the goal at 92 minutes that saved his team from a draw.

Without the expected difference and lacking virtuosity, Portugal celebrated its first success in the 2024 Euro Cup of soccer, which on Tuesday savored the doses of talent that Arda Güler holds in his boots in Turkey's victory over Georgia.

With Cristiano Ronaldo on the field, the Portuguese team had another hero in Germany: Francisco Conceiçao, who scored the goal at 92 minutes that saved his team from a draw after getting caught up in the Czech Republic's tactics.

Without a doubt, those led by Roberto Martínez dominated the match corresponding to group F, but they found difficulties in overcoming the well-organized Czech defense, although they ended up winning 2-1 at the Red Bull Arena in Leipzig. The other goals were scored by Robin Hranáč (69) in his own goal and Lukáš Provod (62).

And in the most frenetic clash of the tournament -up to now-, the Turks defeated the resilient Georgians 3-1, who never backed down. However, the loudest cheers were for the Real Madrid player Güler.

The victors took control of the scoreboard thanks to a goal from Mert Müldür, who volleyed a defensive rebound to send the ball into the back of the net as early as the 25th minute.

Despite the opposing offensive, the Turks scored again, but the VAR disallowed the goal for offside. Then, Georgia reacted through Georges Mikautadze (32) to level the score.

Already in the second half, Güler (64) shone with a superb shot from outside the box for a 2-1 lead that seemed definitive. However, the losing team came close to equalizing in the epilogue, with a play where the ball hit the post. Kerem Aktürkoğlu (97) then led an individual counterattack and sealed the checkmate with a 3-1 score, with no pressure from the goalkeeper.

At the moment, due to goal difference, Turkey leads Group F, ahead of Portugal, both with three points, while Georgia and the Czech Republic are at the bottom of the standings.
