European Football Championship

The UEFA European Championship is the most important tournament for national teams on the Old Continent. Its first edition took place in 1960, and since then, the most successful teams have been Germany (three titles, three second places, and an equal number of bronze medals) and Spain, which has also won three times, alongside one silver medal. The other countries that have been crowned champions are France (twice), Russia, Italy, the Czech Republic, the Netherlands, Denmark, Greece, and Portugal, each with one victory. The current edition is the sixteenth and is being held across a dozen nations, with the final scheduled for July 11 at London’s stadium.
