A Cuban teenager stands out in the world of junior golf in Spain, demonstrating that talent knows no borders.
Fabrian Aguilera Chirino is 16 years old, is a native of Artemisa, and assures that he has clear goals. He arrived in Spain just six months ago, but is already standing out as an emerging figure in youth golf tournaments in Valencia.
The young man trains at the Elche Golf School and his teachers have confirmed the talent he possesses, ensuring that this Cuban has a promising future if he continues working hard as he has been doing.
In just three months of training in Spain, Fabrian has managed to impress many with his technical ability and dedication to the sport that has become his passion.
He was crowned as the Champion of the III RAC ALARM Golf Tournament and has achieved very good results in events with wide participation, including the Alicante-Murcia Golf League and the XXII Anniversary at El Plantío Golf (Alicante).
Fabrian's beginnings in golf were in Cuba, inspired by Mr. Markus Rombach, a family friend who is passionate about this sport and taught him the basic notions to get started playing.
Currently, my goal is to become a professional player. I know it requires a lot of training, but my teachers believe that in a few years I can reach a high level. I am inspired by my parents and this family friend who supported me so much in my beginnings," Fabrian told CiberCuba.
The young man has expressed his desire to represent Cuba in international competitions in which he participates. His love for his homeland has been a source of inspiration for many of his friends and family members.
If everything goes as planned, this Cuban could become one of the first young people from the island to compete in the professional golf league in 2027.
"I am clear that my country will be related to my name," said the golfer. We look forward to seeing more achievements from this young talent and following his path to the professional league, always carrying the flag of Cuba with pride.
