A Cuban professor and nurse were murdered inside their home in Granma.

Carlos Maximiliano Fernández Mesa was reportedly found in his home with multiple blows to his face, and his dog was hanged in the bathroom.

A horrendous crime shocked the city of Manzanillo, Granma, where a well-known professor from the University of Medical Sciences was murdered inside his own home.

Carlos Maximiliano Fernández Mesa, Nursing career methodologist, would have been murdered last Thursday around 7:00 pm.

According to the report by Cubans Around the World, Fernández Mesa was found with several blows to his face and his dog was hanging in the bathroom.

The source that provided the information, who chose to remain anonymous, revealed that a neighbor allegedly saw a tall Black man exiting the residence.

Likewise, it was revealed that the victim was gay, and that it could presumably be a crime of passion, the note adds.

So far, neither the authorities nor the official press have commented on this crime.

The University of Medical Sciences of Granma reported the death of the professor, but did not mention the cause of his death; it only mentioned "sudden death."

Professor Fernández Mesa stood out for his dedication to teaching and his commitment to training healthcare professionals. His work as a methodologist in the Nursing program was essential for the educational quality of our institution. His dedication, knowledge, and passion for his work left an indelible mark on the university community," the center said on Facebook.

"His departure leaves a void in our institution, but his legacy of dedication and commitment will continue to inspire future generations of healthcare professionals," added.

Hundreds of people mourned the death of the healthcare and teaching professional, praising him for his dedication to his work and his virtues as a human being.
