Consternation over the death of a young Cuban hotel worker in Cayo Largo del Sur

The death of a young man from the Isle of Youth who worked at the Pelícano hotel in Cayo Largo del Sur has deeply shaken his friends and coworkers.

The young man from Isla de la Juventud, identified as Ángel Ariel Chávez, allegedly died of dengue, as confirmed on social media by several acquaintances of the victim.

Michel Dixon Palacio, residing in Florida, echoed the death of his friend in an emotional post that has gathered over 200 comments so far, many of them expressing surprise and sorrow for the premature loss of a young man who was strong and healthy.

So far, no other details have emerged about the circumstances of the illness that ended the life of Ángel Ariel, who was a father of a child.

Dengue, which has never disappeared from the national scene, has been joined by the Oropouche Virus, another tropical disease that is already present in almost all Cuban provinces.
