Two dead including the shooter during rally where Donald Trump was injured

The news agency AP confirmed the death of the shooter and an assistant to the event.

Information from international media covering the events surrounding the shooting in which former president and US presidential candidate Donald Trump was injured indicates that two people, including the shooter, were killed at the scene.

The district attorney of Butler County confirmed the news to American journalist Mike Valente.

The Associated Press news agency also echoed the news, although without specifying details of the attacker or the other victim.

According to The New York Times, "the Secret Service is leading the response, but federal law enforcement agencies, including the Department of Justice, the ATF, and the FBI, are mobilizing to investigate and support their efforts, according to federal officials."

Donald Trump was evacuated from a rally in Pennsylvania after gunshots were heard at the event.

At the location, Trump was delivering the final speech before the Republican Convention, which will take place between Monday, July 15, and Thursday, July 18, 2024 in Milwaukee.

According to international media reports, "Mr. Trump was seen crouching down to protect himself behind the lectern."

After his bodyguards tried to protect him, Trump stood up and raised his fist so the attendees could see that he was okay, even though he was injured.

Trump's campaign team reported that the former president is "doing well" and is "being checked at a local medical center."
