A Cuban in the USA laments attitudes towards newcomers: "It's a shame that as Cubans, we don't support each other."

That's why we deserve for them to say everything they say about us.

Using a real-life experience as a starting point, a TikTok user lamented the attitude of some Cubans in the United States towards their fellow countrymen who have recently arrived in the country.

"A Cuban kills a Cuban," he wrote about the video where he expressed his indignation in recounting an experience he had at a kiosk where he usually shops, and where, according to his testimony, the woman who works there, despite not having documents, is exploited with a salary far below the minimum wage.

"The lady works 10 hours a day and is paid much less than the minimum wage in this country. I know that for a business to be profitable, it has to make a profit, but it cannot be by exploiting the person who is working for you," comments @cyaile in her commented videos where she expressed that, although she understands the need to make a profit, it is unacceptable to exploit a loyal and hardworking person."

The video has generated hundreds of comments and reactions on TikTok, where many users shared their own experiences and opinions: "Did you notice that our race is bad now"; "Oh well, I worked at the juice palace and they paid me 5 dollars an hour, tell me"; "If they don't have papers, they don't receive 1099, nor W2, I say to myself who would believe that, I imagine the owner has to assume that in their tax return to contribute to the IRS, I'm just saying"; "That's right, and not only that, they start working and they stab each other in the back instead of moving forward"; "I worked at a Cuban bakery 8 hours for 40 dollars a day plus tips. Tough but I had no choice, I had no papers. Or family"; "The Cuban doesn't help each other"; "We are the worst, really"; "The Cuban is not united and it's sad," some added.

The content creator, @cyaile, concluded her video with a critical reflection: "If you have a good worker, what you want is to keep them because you have full confidence in those people. We deserve for them to say everything they say about us."
