A short circuit was the cause of the fire that consumed a Chevrolet car on the morning of Saturday, July 20, in El Vedado, Havana.
Although it was initially reported that the fire occurred at 15th Street corner L, in El Vedado, the new report published in the Facebook group "Accidentes Automovilísticos en Cuba" by user Heber Montes de Oca indicates that it was at 19th Street corner L.
This person, whose role as the driver of the vehicle is unclear, explained in the comments section that "I was in line to refuel and suffered a short circuit, and nothing could be done."
In the shared videos of the accident, it was possible to see how the dense cloud of smoke grew rapidly and became visible in several areas of the site, where curious people also gathered.
New images published by Montes de Oca show the condition in which the Chevrolet car was left.
Inside, everything was charred, with little chance of being salvaged.
It was also possible to see the presence of firefighters at the scene.
