A young Cuban was struck by a modern car in the community of Sao Carlos, in the province of Holguín, with reports indicating that his life is not in danger, according to sources on social media.
The accident occurred in "the early hours of the night on Sunday," said user Rolando Guerra Machín in the Facebook group "El Purial, Holguín, Cuba."
The collision with the young man, identified as Yoendris Salina Rodríguez, occurred when he was getting off a bus on the Guardalavaca-Holguín road, “and without noticing while crossing, he was hit by a modern light vehicle,” the information adds.
In the comments section, several users noted that the young man's life is not in danger and that his recovery is progressing positively.
"The young man is quite stable; he may be discharged today after the medical visit, just injuries," stated the author of the post.
In shared images, it can be seen how the Kia car with a state plate suffered considerable damage to the front, with a strong impact on the windshield, which may indicate that the speed at which it was coming was exceeded.
Neighbors and users of the network expressed their request for a speedy recovery for the injured person.
Last Friday, a traffic accident in Santiago de Cuba forced the transfer of an elderly man to the Emergency room due to the impact from a motorcycle.
