A cargo truck collides with a motorcycle in Santiago de Cuba.

A man suffered injuries that required hospitalization after being involved in a traffic accident this Tuesday morning in Santiago de Cuba.

Independent journalist Yosmany Mayeta Labrada reported on Facebook about a collision between a private rental vehicle and a motorcycle on San Francisco street, corner of San Félix, in the heart of Santiago city.

"Apparently, a pisicorre (a type of small vehicle) collided with a motorcycle, and I still don't know the condition of the motorcyclist," he recounted.

A witness stated that the motorist was "very injured" and was rushed to the hospital. The images of the motorcycle show that it suffered serious damage.

So far, no details of the accident are known.

Several internet users agreed that that corner is very dangerous and numerous accidents have occurred there.

Some argue that visibility is poor and even demand the installation of a traffic light, while others blame the irresponsibility of drivers.

"They continue to violate the pairs of the intersections with San Francisco, which has the priority," one of them pointed out.
