Judging by the images, many other motorcycle owners managed to get their vehicles out of the area.

Also over the weekend, at least four motorcycles parked in a private garage in the Micro 9 neighborhood of the José Martí district in Santiago de Cuba were burned to ashes after a fire broke out in one of them and spread to the others nearby.

According to independent journalist Yosmany Mayeta Labrada, the garage was primarily used to store electric motorcycles.

A resident in the area told her that the incident left "four scooters damaged because one exploded and the others burned" and that "thanks to a neighbor who is a nearby vendor and had a fire extinguisher, he was able to mitigate the damage, which could have been worse."

Another neighbor specified that in that garage "more than 50 combustion motorcycles [in addition to] the electric ones" were stored.

Days earlier, a motorcycle caught fire in Guanabacoa, Havana, specifically on the street of the Cruz Verde Polyclinic.

The fire occurred in the morning and surprised the neighbors, who did not imagine that the flames would consume the motorcycle in just a few minutes, leaving it as a charred metal structure. The firefighters extinguished the blaze and no one was injured, but the motorcycle was burned to ashes.
