Two motorcycle police officers die in an accident in Camagüey.

The accident occurred in the curve before arriving at Siboney, in the city of Camagüey, coming from Las Tunas.

Two police officers from the motorcycle unit, popularly known as "caballitos," died on the afternoon of this Monday as a result of a traffic accident in the province of Camagüey, according to reports on social media.

The incident, of which no images have yet emerged, occurred on the curve before arriving in Siboney, in the city of Camagüey, coming from Las Tunas, said user María De Los Angeles Escobar Durán in the Facebook group “ACCIDENTES BUSES & CAMIONES por más experiencia y menos víctimas!”

One of the deceased was a resident of the town of Jiqui, in the Camagüey municipality of Sibanicú, and was identified as Yuniesky.

No details were obtained about the other police officer.

Although the causes of the accident have not been confirmed, the users themselves mentioned that the "caballitos" were escorting a caravan and that a car coming from the front collided with them.

"A car came head-on at them, they were in a caravan," wrote the user Yurisnel Matos.

"A car coming from the opposite direction lost control and hit them," added another person.

In videos shared in the Facebook group "Accidentes automovilísticos en cuba," it was possible to observe the rapid movement of ambulances in the city of Camagüey.

As of the time of writing this note, there has been no statement from the authorities or the police regarding this incident that has the community concerned.
