They are searching for a 13-year-old girl missing in Santiago de Cuba.

Alibenis Pérez Cisneros left her home in Chicharrones six days ago headed to a store in that same neighborhood, and since then her family has not heard from her.

A 13-year-old Cuban girl, identified as Alibenis Pérez Cisneros, has been missing for six days since she left her home in the Chicharrones neighborhood in Santiago de Cuba, according to her family.

The independent platform YoSíTeCreo in Cuba launched a Mayde Alert on Tuesday to promote the search for the teenager, who was last seen the previous week and whose family has had no news of her.

According to the report, Alibenis left her house heading to the supply store located in El Polvorín, in the same neighborhood as Chicharrones.

At that moment, she was wearing a brown skirt and a black blouse, and she had a green backpack with flowers.

Her family describes her as a girl with "dark skin," black eyes, and hair styled in loose braids. Her height has yet to be specified, as noted in the announcement.

The minor has no identifiable marks, nor was she taking any medications or carrying a cell phone with her.

The platform asks people who see her not to leave her alone. If anyone has information about her, please call the family contact number, 55333105 (of neighbor Yasmilka Marturell), and the authorities.

Requests for help on social media to find missing persons in Cuba have become very frequent lately, in the midst of a context of social insecurity due to the increase in crime in the country.

The Alerta Mayde was created by independent civil activists following the disappearance of the teenager Maydeleisis Rosales Rodríguez in Havana in May 2021. Its purpose is to help locate missing minors in Cuba, given the lack of a police protocol and an early alert system for the disappearance of children.
