The Cuban @cubitabella09, who lives in the United States, shared a video on TikTok showing some furniture in perfect condition that had been left on the street for someone to pick up.
"I am here walking the dog and I want you all to see what nice furniture they threw out here. Look at how good that furniture is, look at how new the coverings are, everything is so clean and all. Someone is going to come by and take it," he/she said in the post.
Additionally, she mentioned that she had previously seen a woman pick up a dining set with six upholstered blue chairs: "I don't know how she got that dining set into the car because the car was small, but she was there pushing those chairs in. I thought it wouldn't fit in the car, but well, these are people who do that, pick up furniture and such, then they fix it or sell it, I don’t know. Here, good furniture is put out on the street all the time."
Users responded with amazement at the quality of the furniture found: "It's very nice, you can tell that area has good houses"; "They look new"; "Mine were like this and they are super good and so comfortable"; "Wow, brand new"; and "And how expensive everything is in the stores," some commented.
Posts like these often spark curiosity and debate about consumption and recycling in communities where it's common to find useful objects on the street. What do you think about this practice? Have you ever found anything valuable this way?
What do you think?
