Cuban on TikTok sends a message to those who claim to be from Havana without actually being so.

It also referred to those who intend to be "vulgar."

The TikTok user @reinier_delgado recently shared a video that has sparked a broad debate among Cubans.

In his message, the Cuban -who, based on the information available online, can be identified as living in Florida- criticized compatriots who claim to be from Havana, despite not being so.

"I wish someone would answer this question for me. This is for Cubans, if you're not Cuban, skip it... why does 95% of the people you ask where they're from say they're from Havana? Brother, I'm going to give you a piece of advice from brother to brother... what is the need to pretend that you're from Havana?" he said.

In his words, he emphasized the importance of being genuine and authentic when it comes to telling the truth about one's place of origin. "People ask me where I’m from, and I tell the truth that I'm not from Havana," he added in the video where he also referred to those who pretend to be 'chabacanos' without being so.

"This is for the Cubans who deceive themselves. Bro, don't pretend to be what you're not," he wrote about the video that has sparked a wide range of opinions: "I am from Las Tunas and really, everyone claims to be from Havana"; "I am from Holguín," "I am from Camagüey," "I am from Guantánamo and I am very proud"; "This man is telling the truth. He is absolutely right"; "But being from another province doesn't make you less than the people from Havana, I don’t understand what the problem is"; "No one is from the countryside. Everyone lives on El Malecón," they commented.
