A short circuit caused a powerful fire at dawn this Friday in a multi-family building in Centro Habana, according to reports on social media.

A post on X by Juan Carlos Peiro Fdez, a local resident, said that the incident occurred at 5:47 am at the corner of Reina and Escobar, Centro Habana.

The information specifies that the fire spread due to a short circuit "in the current meters" and was extinguished by the fire department.

Fortunately, no victims were reported, he detailed.

The published images showed fire trucks in the area, which would have extinguished the flames without difficulty.

This incident occurs just two days after another incident caused by the explosion of an electric motorcycle in a house in Luyanó, where three adults and a one-year-old girl died, and another minor, 13 years old, is in critical condition.
