Limay Blanco remembers the birthday of her deceased son with an emotional post: "Your whole family misses you."

The Cuban comedian Limay Blanco shared a moving message on his social media in memory of his deceased son, who would have turned a year older this August 17. The post, published on his Instagram account, has touched his followers and generated a wave of support and solidarity.

"Many congratulations my boy. I don't even know what to write to you, today is your birthday, but you are not here, you are with God. I just want to tell you that your whole family misses you. I love you very much, your dad," wrote Limay, expressing the profound pain that has accompanied him since the loss of his son in 2017, the second from Limay Blanco's first marriage, who has other children from later relationships.

In the comments on his own post, the comedian added that he was trying to keep himself busy to avoid thinking about the sadness, but he acknowledged that it is a very difficult day for him: "Today I have tried to keep myself as entertained as possible to not think, but it’s impossible, how sad, how hard. I wish the days would pass quickly; every August 17 is a very sad day for me."

Her followers quickly reacted to her message with words of support, empathy, and comfort. "Heaven is celebrating. God has him in glory"; "Oh Limay, what pride your little angel must feel, God has him in His holy glory, blessings"; "I am very sorry, Limay. Rest in peace, your child," were some of the comments left on the post.

This is not the first time Limay has dedicated an emotional post to remember his son's birthday: "Wherever you are, happy birthday. Today I was looking at this photo and I remember that day when you were upset with me because you didn't want to dress like that... God, take good care of my little guy and tell him that his family misses him a lot," he said in 2020.

On August 16, Limay shared another post in honor of the birthday of his other son, Limaycito: "Today, August 16, is my son Limaycito's birthday. He lives in the USA, I only ask God to protect him a lot, a lot and to have a nice day today on his birthday. My boy, Dad misses you so much and loves you, your dad," he wrote.
