The Cuban comedian Limay Blanco shared his opinion after the criticisms and negative comments following the successful concert of Oniel Bebeshito in Cienfuegos.

In a comment on the post on Facebook CiberCuba Noticias about the recent concert by Oniel Bebeshito in Cienfuegos, he addressed the hate and criticism by praising the success of the young artist and what he has achieved.

In his message, Limay criticized the tendency of certain individuals to not celebrate the achievements of others and instead focus on the negative aspects.

"We are our own enemies, when we should be proud that one of us succeeds, what we do is criticize them and we are happy when a talented person falls. It gets more views for him to fall off the stage than for a concert to be sold out. That's how we Cubans are, may God bless us," he lamented.

The comedian's comment arises in response to a series of criticisms that appeared in the post about the show, where some users questioned the relevance of the event in the midst of the current situation in the country, mentioning that "nobody slept because of the concert... especially those who suffered the blackout because of it," that "for them to have electricity at the concert, others were the ones who sacrificed," or that "the truth is that Cubans find amusement in anything, they lack everything, a poor malnourished people in terms of culture."

Limay's words, which seek to promote a culture of recognition and support for his own, also sparked mixed opinions. While some supported his views, others expressed disagreement: "I disagree, I am proud of many Cuban artists, but I will never be proud of vulgarity, lack of education, coarse language, and much less of a 'genre' that denigrates women, and exalts machismo and marginality."

While all this controversy continues, Oniel keeps receiving the support and love of his audience in his performances after returning to the island from a tour in Europe, and enjoying the success of his songs, which keep adding views on the platforms.

This is not the first time, however, that Limay defends the importance of supporting and celebrating the achievements of Cuban artists. A few months ago, he did the same with Mawell, whom he recommended to ignore the teasing.
