Yomil recalls a moment with El Dany: "That day the chorus of 'pega pega' was improvised, that's where the song came from."

"The legacy will never fall to the ground."

Yomil recently shared an emotional post with his followers on social media on his Instagram account, remembering a special moment during a concert with his late musical partner, El Dany.

In his post, Yomil referred to how the chorus of "Pega Pega" (2016) emerged spontaneously, one of the most remembered hits of the duo Yomil and El Dany.

“The legacy will never fall to the ground, that day the ‘pega pega’ chorus was improvised, from there the song came out, what @yomilyeldany did was real and heartfelt,” wrote Yomil in his message, accompanied by a video of the concert.

"If that were to happen now with the experiences and the sound we've obtained live, it would be another madness," he added in the post, which concluded with the usual hashtag #prohibidoolvidar, a clear tribute to El Dany's legacy.

The post resonated not only among Yomil's followers but also among artists and recognized figures of the urban genre, who expressed their admiration and nostalgia in the comments. "Woooooow! The levels are different," commented Alain Pérez - who revealed last July that on the day of El Dany's death, when he heard the news, he wrote a song "from the depths of my pain."

"The hardest ones, full blast", "The toughest duo in the history of Cuba"; "Tremendous vibe, the best"; "If the party didn’t heat up, it’s because @yomilyeldany didn’t play"; "I know that groove, heat it up"; "The best that the island has given from 2015 to date, and it will be X100pre"; "When it was worth paying the cover charges"; "That's right... Those of us who truly followed you from the beginning are aware that in these times you would have continued breaking the League very strongly. YD will remain in the history of urban genre in Cuba and in the hearts of all who enjoyed your projects to the max"; "Legends never die"; "The best live show from 2015 to the present"; "The toughest in Cuba, kid"; "It’s a different showbiz, another kind of hit song." Other followers also recalled the unforgettable moments they experienced during Yomil and El Dany's concerts, highlighting the energy and unique atmosphere they managed to create in each performance, something that Yomil has maintained in his concerts.

On July 18, when it marked four years since the unexpected passing of El Dany, Yomil dedicated some heartfelt words to him.
