Young Cuban musician surprises with version of "Chan Chan" by Compay Segundo.

On his social media, Rapson Espinosa often shares videos performing his interpretations of well-known songs, always adding his own touch.

Rapson Espinosa is a young Cuban musician with a great talent for mastering various instruments and for singing as well.

The artist surprised his followers on social media with a very original version of one of the most famous songs in Cuban music, authored by Compay Segundo.

“How would the legendary song ‘Chan Chan’ sound with this sundrum instrument,” the young man can be heard saying before starting his performance while showing the so-called sundrum, a small wooden drum.

The first thing he recorded was the bass, but in addition to the sundrum and the guitar, Rapson Espinosa used his hands to create the sound of the güiro and the claves in the absence of these instruments.

Then he recorded the voice for the chorus and finally the refrain, which is the most well-known part of this song, even internationally.

"What a great version!"; "Tremendous flavor, my brother, you don't have a güiro or clave, but you have a sundrum and that's what's important"; "Ingenuity is worth more than anything"; "Master, beautiful version. You have to listen to it all"; "Incredible how lovely it turned out"; "What a marvel. Cuban talent"; "What art. You're incredible!" were some of the compliments the young musician received in the comments.

On his social media, Rapson Espinosa, from Stockholm, often shares videos performing his versions of very well-known musical pieces, always adding his own touch.
