A family from Santiago de Cuba is offering a reward of 5,000 pesos in national currency for the return of their lost Pekingese puppy, missing in the Vista Hermosa neighborhood.

The small dog, named "King," was last seen on 5th Street in the Mariana de la Torre neighborhood, very close to his home, reported local journalist Yosmany Mayeta Labrada on Facebook.

The owner of the puppy is a little girl who is deeply affected by the disappearance of her pet, the post explains.

The girl is very sad and anxious to get her little dog back, said the reporter.

The family leaves the phones 22692043, 22692823, +5353484682, in the name of Carmen, and +5358100156 to contact Ismari.

The family appreciates in advance any help the community can provide to reunite the girl with her beloved King.

Reports of lost or stolen dogs in Cuba are common, as are people who, amid their desperation, offer rewards, and some of these stories have happy endings.

A Cuban family, who had reported the theft of their two chihuahua puppies, recently recovered their pets. The dogs were found after someone bought them and decided to return them to their owners.
