Five Cuban hotels in the Park of Fraternity are doomed to collapse.

A Cuban influencer shows how places that were once iconic in Havana have been in ruins for years and are about to collapse, due to the government's neglect.

The YouTuber Alejandro, known for his channel Literally Cuban, showed in a recent video how several iconic hotels in Havana are in absolute ruins.

These buildings are condemned to collapse due to the regime's neglect. They were confiscated in 1959 and then the state was unable to ensure their proper functioning.

The five hotels are located around the Fraternity Park, in the heart of the capital of the country. They are the Perla de Cuba; New York; Isla de Cuba; Nueva Isla de Cuba; and the Saratoga, which suffered an explosion on May 6, 2022, and has not yet been restored.

The New York Hotel was one of the most luxurious of its time and is currently completely abandoned. The sign with its name can still be seen on the sidewalk.

Most of these hotels are from the 1920s. They have a century of history, but the Cuban government has long since left them to their fate. Their entrances have been blocked so that homeless people cannot occupy them.

The destruction of the urban landscape of Havana is notable and is marked not only by the ruins of its architectural heritage but also by the garbage and misery in which most of its inhabitants live, while the government allocates millions of dollars to the construction of new hotels, cold, empty, and devoid of history.
