A Cuban resident in Arroyo Naranjo is missing, and family and friends have posted an alert on social media, asking for help to locate him.

A post by user Jorge Fabián Omo Elegua in the Facebook group “REVOLICO ÑO QUÉ BARATO” states that the young man is named Yunier González Fernández and that he “has mental health issues.”

The publication provides the phone numbers 54010026 and 58944747 for anyone with information about their whereabouts to contact the family.

The report on Facebook does not indicate where the young man went missing, nor if a report has been made to the police.

Recently, journalist and activist Marta María Ramírez advised that in cases of disappearances, regardless of the person's gender, citizens can activate alerts on social media to assist in the search and to "pressure authorities to do their job."

He explained that the data necessary to make the search more effective are: full name, alias; if a report has been filed with the PNR (registration number/date); physical description: hair and eye color, height, age, and identifiable marks (moles, tattoos, scars, etc.).

Additionally, chronic illnesses, if you are taking any medication; the clothing worn at the time of disappearance; the place and day last seen; place of residence; phone numbers or other contact information, and any other information deemed important for the search.

In recent days, several disappearances of Cubans on the island have been reported, although in most cases they have been found alive.

Such was the case of a Cuban father who had been missing since last Sunday morning but was found safe and sound, although somewhat disoriented, the following Thursday.

It was also the case of Alicia Consuegra Sánchez, a 14-year-old teenager whose trace was lost in the National Bus Terminal, located in the Havana municipality of Plaza de la Revolución, but she was found safe and sound, as updated on social media by the minor's own mother.

Miriam Rodríguez Arias, a 57-year-old woman who disappeared in Guanabo, Havana, last week, was found alive, although no further details about her discovery were given.
