They are seeking help to find a woman who disappeared two days ago in Havana.

Miriam Rodríguez Arias, 57 years old and with dementia, disappeared on Friday in Guanabo.

The family of Miriam Rodríguez Arias, a 57-year-old woman who disappeared in Guanabo, Havana, since Friday, is urgently seeking help to locate her.

A report on Facebook alerted about the disappearance of the woman at the beach east of the capital, an incident that has already been reported to the Police.

Marian Yin Rodríguez reported that the lady comes from San José de las Lajas and suffers from senile dementia; she provided the phone numbers 54067852 and 55359709 for anyone with information regarding her whereabouts to contact the family.

"The report was made at the Guanabo police station. She has senile dementia, completely harmless. Since Friday, August 23, we do not know where she is," explained Yin in a comment on the profile of journalist and activist Marta María Ramírez.

"I was wearing these clothes that day, possibly barefoot," she specified alongside a photo of Rodríguez, dressed in a patterned leotard and a blue sweater.

"Please, if you see her, take her to the nearest station or inform an officer nearby and contact the number that appears in the post... Thank you for your support. We are desperate."

In a post regarding this case, activist Ramírez reminded that, in the event of a reported disappearance of a woman, the public can activate alerts on social media to assist in the search and to "pressure the authorities to do their job."

In the case of the Yaniset Alert, it related the data that is necessary to make the search more effective, such as full name, alias; whether a report has been made to the PNR (registration number/date); physical description: hair and eye color, height, age, and identifiable marks (moles, tattoos, scars, etc.).

In addition, chronic illnesses, if taking any medication; the clothing worn at the time of disappearance; the place and day when they were last seen; place of residence; phones or other contact information, and any other information deemed important for the search.

In recent days, several cases of disappearances of young women have been reported in the country. Unfortunately, one of them, Lianet Núñez Pérez, 20 years old, was found dead in Old Havana. The case is under investigation.

Meanwhile, the 18-year-old Yilena Cepeda, reported missing for a week in Santiago de Cuba, was found safe and sound on Friday, under circumstances that have not been revealed.

Kiara González, 23, who was missing in Havana, was also found alive.

A young woman with a disability, named Claudia, 27 years old and residing in a community in Baraguá, Ciego de Ávila, has been missing for more than two weeks.
