They are seeking help for a Cuban in intensive care following a traffic accident in Bolivia.

The family created an account on the GoFundMe platform to receive donations in order to cover the costs of medical treatment.

Family and friends of a young Cuban who is in intensive care after a traffic accident in Bolivia have turned to social media to ask for financial help to cover the costs of the medical treatment she needs.

User Mailin Cabrales Arjona, friend of Yarleny Alonso, cousin of the hospitalized young woman, used the social network Facebook to seek support from the Cuban community and share information about an account created on the GoFundMe platform to receive donations.

Alonso, who created the aforementioned account, provided details about the seriousness of his cousin's health condition, highlighting the urgency of raising funds.

"Unfortunately, my cousin Yanelis had a motorcycle accident in Bolivia. She has been in intensive care for several days. Her medications, surgeries, and hospital expenses are very costly, and for this reason, we are asking for help to raise the necessary money," he said.

"Any help, no matter how small, will be greatly appreciated. I thank you in advance on her behalf and on behalf of the whole family for your great generosity. May God multiply your blessings," he added.

At the time of writing these lines, the request had raised $1,265 out of the $7,000 targeted.

A security camera captured the moment of the collision with another motorcycle on a lightly trafficked street.

In an effort to help in any way, a solidarity raffle was also launched, and the prize will be a bottle of Habana Club rum.

In July, a young Cuban model who also resides in Bolivia suffered a motorcycle accident, and his family and friends requested help to cover the medical expenses.
